Vote for J.W. on Saturday, May 9th! Keep Moving Forward!

Mayor J.W. Lown is a firm believer that empowered citizens are effective agents of change.  Since his first election in May 2003, Mayor Lown has taken bold steps to ensure that San Angelo is a citizen-oriented city.  It is a city where the "red carpet" is always out.

Testimony of this goodwill approach to governance are the visits to San Angelo by John Bruton, the European Union Ambassador; high-ranking Bush Administration officials;  the October 2008 meeting of the Texas Historical Commission in San Angelo - the first of its kind for this important group; and the visit of Brian Lamb, the founder of CSPAN.  These visitors have discovered San Angelo's charm and its economic and cultural promise for individuals of all ages, from all backgrounds and interests.

San Angeloans are working together to create new venues of civic participation and economic diversity.  Together, they promote San Angelo's interests as a whole.

So, come visit, stay a while and enjoy our hospitality!
